Hello fellow piggy lovers!!! I'm Tamara and I'm from Johnson City, Tennessee, and if anyone lives near me I would love to adopt a little female piggy. I have 1 piggy right now and he's about 1 1/2 years old. His name is Rodney (yes, yes..after the guinea pig on Dr. Doolittle), and he is a solid chocolate silk guinea pig, and he is the most gorgeous piggy in the world! I'm 20 years old and work full time and feel like Rodney is lonely while I'm at work, so I'm getting a HUGE cage for my little furry friend next weekend and am in a search for a little play mate for him. If anyone has a suggestion on where I can adopt one, I'm intersted. I'm going to get a female and have her spayed. I can't believe how spoiled these little guys get! Squeals for carrots, parsley, and every time someone walks past his cage, just so you'll stop and pick him up and love on him! Does anyone one else's guinea pig wake you in the morning just for attention? I guess it's a good thing he does that or I would never get up for work!!! He's my alarm clock, and that squeak is one alarm clock you can't ignore!!
It's sad to say, but Rodney gets treated better than a lot of children in this world. That's great for Rodney, but not for the pitiful and unfortunate children deprived of a clean and warm place to sleep, food to eat, and love!
