My name is Kimberly Ogbin. I am 23 (24 January 3rd), and living with my boyfriend of over 3 years. I work for Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer. I have had piggies since December of 1999. I have three females: Shiva, Genesis, and Osha. They are all shorthaired, and around 13 months, I would guess.
It all started with my friend Jessica, who had a female piggy named Elvira. They thought she was pregnant, and she asked if I wanted one of the babies. Due to being alone (boyfriend at school), and the fact that I found Elvira so adorable, I agreed to take one. But it turned out she wasn't pregnant (not yet), so finally Jess offered to buy me a piggy. So I went to PetSmart (only good place around) and fell in love with Osha's TS&W color. I had for a month before I felt the need to get her a companion. So I went back to Petsmart. I had seen a white and tannish-gray-light brown piggy that I had liked. If she was still there, I was going to get her. She was, but there was also a very nice black piggy. I took turns holding them, really wanting the white and tan-gray-brown piggy. But when I held the black one, she sniffed and licked my neck. So I bought them both, thus creating Shiva and Genesis.
I absolutely LOVE to watch the three of them run around their cage, and their amazing antics. *grin* They get SO excited! I can't wait till I have room for more piggies. And this time I want to try an Abby or Teddy, as my three are all shorthairs. I also eventually want to get a pregnant female...I want to experience babies, but don't want to put any piggies at risk, especially when the damage has already been done to so many others.
Everything I learned about piggies I learned mainly from CavyMadness, the site and the board. Seagull's site was also a help, and a handful of others. Thanx Tammy, for both the site and the board. They helped SOOOOO much!
