Augusta was my sweetie doll, a Sheltie-mix who would come running to me like a puppy and could lie on my shoulder for hours. Just a year ago, she was celebrated on the Internet as Margaret Healey-Darcy, the hero of a series of sometimes-hilarious adventures posted by the wonderfully creative members of an international writing group. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, March 4, euthanized after a brief but severe illness. Her picture--my avatar--doesn't show enough of her beauty and gentle nature. We miss her so much!
