I just got a couple of female piggies four days ago. They are around 2-3 months old. This is my first experience with piggies and so far I'm really enjoying them! I've been poring over the website reading all the info I can find. Thank you so much for such great information!! I'll have to get some pictures posted soon. They both seem to have very different personalities. Ginger seems to be much calmer and will sit very still in my lap. I think I've even heard her purr when I stroke her back a certain way. I listened to the link for the noises that guinea pigs make and it's either a purr or a rumble. (Do females rumble? Maybe she thinks my hand is a boar?) When she makes the noise she also kind of stretches her back legs out to the side so that she's kind of laying down. I think she's enjoying it! Betsy is much more active and doesn't hold still long very long. Ginger seems to be the dominant one. I've seen her kind of snap at Betsy a few times, but has never left any marks or pulled any fur and Betsy doesn't seem scared of her at all, so I don't think there's any reason to worry, but what do you guys think?
