Has anyone ever tried using any other type of flooring in their cage? Do you have to use coroplast?

I used linoleum and it seems to be holding up pretty well. The only thing that is kind of annoying about it is you need to stabilize it more because it can be
a bit more droppy and the corners aren't as sharp. Other than that, I think it works nicely.

I have heard of a variety of floor materials. Certainly linoleum, as Wheeks uses. I've also seen plexiglas. I have used a vinyl shower curtain over plywood
in a pinch. Not very easy to clean, but it at least keeps the urine from getting through.
Porous materials, such as wood, are not recommended, since the urine will eventually soak in and rot the wood. Painted and stained wood are not recommended, since pigs tend to chew on anything they can, and you don't want them to ingest the paint or polyurethane. |

I moved my boys (my avatar) into their new "condo" last week and since them they've enjoyed chewing on the coroplast. So I would imagine
whatever you use, as long as they don't think its a new treat.....
