So, we have two girl guinea pigs... and we have noticed that one of ours will approach the other one and make this low rumbling sound. She seems to be a little
more dominant, but it's something we hear quite often. Is this normal? I know that a male will make this sound to a female.. but I didn't know you
could also hear it with two female guinea pigs. Also, i don't think it's overly aggressive because they are very friendly with each other and the less
dominant one will steal carrots from the other one with no kind of confrontation.

Its normal. They will do it as part of a dominance display. They also tend to do it when one or the other pig is in heat. Its often referred to as
"rumblestrutting".

Cool, thank you. Yeah I couldn't remember the word for it. She does it constantly, but it's cute haha and there's no aggression.
