Hi!

I'm 23 years old, first time Cavy owner as of this past year, and I'm totally in love. This probably sounds weird, but after the past 6 months or so with my pigs, I can't ever see myself without guinea pigs again!!

My first Cavy, Cocoa (Bean), was being abandoned by a family with children that got bored with her, so I decided I would adopt her. I knew nothing about pigs at the time, and after doing a little reading I learned that she needed a friend. I brought Tina home about a week later (she's the Cavy in my avatar) and the two of them were so happy! Popcorning everywhere and getting along great!

SO, I just had a birthday a week ago and received some money - and guess where it all went -- straight into a HUGE guinea pig C&C cage and tons of awesome accessories for my spoiled little piggies. And since I now had enough room for six piggies, I figured I should at least add one more, and brought home my newest baby, "Buffy" (because she looks like a little buffalo).

I'm probably stopping at three for now. It's been interesting watching how the social dynamics have been totally changing since I added a third girl into the mix. They've turned me into a cavy lover for life, and I'm so happy to have been able to rescue these three and give them all the love and care they deserve!

Anyway, looking forward to learning about caring for my girls through all of your help on this forum. I'd like to give them long, happy, and healthy lives, so I appreciate any advice from those more experienced than I am! Talk to you soon!
