I have a question that I hope someone can answer.
I want to get a guinea pig and wasn't sure if I wanted a male or female. I went to an animal shelter where they had both. After holding the male, but not the females, I noticed a fairly strong odor on my hands. Is this the norm? I then talked to two different very experienced (one was at a rescue) guinea pig people and they said there should not have been a difference. That they did not notice this on any of their piggies. Was it just that one male then that I held?????? I'm looking to "rescue" one but will limit myself to females if all the males have this odor. What do you all think??????????????????????????????
